Does RentLedger hold my tenants’ money?

No. Your tenants pay you directly, by transfer or cash, the way they do now. RentLedger records each payment, issues the receipt and updates the balance.

Do reminders send automatically on WhatsApp?

We prepare each message for you. You tap Send and it goes from your own WhatsApp, so tenants hear from you, not a robot. You also get a short daily email of who needs a reminder.

Can my caretaker use it?

Yes. Invite your caretaker and they can record cash and transfers with a photo of the proof. Their entries wait for your approval, and they never see your totals.

I live abroad. Does it work for me?

Yes. The Diaspora plan is billed by card in pounds or dollars and adds a currency view and a monthly email statement. Every date runs on Lagos time, so you and your tenants see the same due dates.

Do my tenants need to download anything?

No. Each tenant gets a private statement link and their receipts on WhatsApp. Nothing to install, no account to create.

Is my data safe?

We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Your records are encrypted in storage and in transit, you control your data, and you can export or delete it any time. We never ask for BVN, NIN or ID cards. Read our Privacy Policy.
